Bjorn started his Project Management career with Leading several software projects, but the first noteworthy project that he has managed was the built of a full Omnichannel e-commerce platform for MyCom, a top ranked web shop in computer electronics in the Netherlands.
The e-commerce platform consisted of a web shop and a POS (Point Of Sale) system used in the physical shops, with unified process flows that fully integrated with each other and with the JD Edwards (ERP) backend of the BAS Group. The BAS Group acted as both the holding company above MyCom and also as main supplier. It was one of the first platform that offered online ordering and offline delivery (delivered in the shop) functionality, and gave full control on the supply chain and stock within the whole BAS Group.
In a later stage this platform was also implemented at other retail organizations within the BAS Group like Vobis and Dixons.
