This project concerns the implementation of SAP ECC and SAP BW / BO as Global core solution for a global hosting company with offices and data centers in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia. The project is characterized by its complexity, including highly automated processes such as direct automated delivery of servers and cloud products. This platform fully integrates with all legacy IT systems through REST APIs running via SAP PO / PI / XI.
During this project, Bjorn fulfilled the role of Program Manager and in parallel he had the role of internal Project Manager for the implementation of SAP ECC, SAP Cloud for Customer (Sales and Service), and integration with multiple vendors and system using SAP PO/PI/XI.
In 2016 we tried to implement SAP ECC with a SAP Partner, but that did not succeed. In 2017 we started to execute the project without a single SAP Partner, but by cherry picking the right consultants out of the market. We have spoken with dozens of consultants and finally created the group of consultants needed for the assignment. We also introduced the Agile/ SCRUM way of working for the Realization phase of the project. The Realization phase is closed and 2018 the system will be tested and released globally, integrated with SAP Cloud for Customer CRM and 20-30 interfaces to other applications.
